He was predeceased by: his father Bill Hammer; and his former wife Linda Gail Hammer. He is survived by: his mother Shirley Hammer (Martin); his son Josh Hammer (Nikki Sade); his sisters, Suella Cabrales (Rick), Karen Hammer and Andrea Easter; and his siblings' child Daevionte Trebon "Chuck".
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Josh Hammer to support his granddaughter Grace Hammer's college fund (the same fund that was initiated when her grandmother Linda Gail Hammer passed away).
