With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Rose Ella Nelson of Andover, Kansas, born in Inman, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 14, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Rose may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Rose touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Stoughton and Fern Stoughton; her husband Richard Nelson; and her sister Roxanna Jackson. She is survived by: her children, Rick Nelson (Janet), Ryan Nelson (Brooke Burch) and Robin Dishman (Jerry); her grandchildren, Metta Sanchez, Joshua Nelson and Kyle Dishman; and her great grandchild Baden Siegman.
