We are sad to announce that on March 1, 2024, at the age of 86, Betty J Hammersmith in Anthony, Kansas, born in Harper, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Alfred Earl and Rosetta Calvert (Thornton); her husbands, Sam Thomas, Mac Wakefield and Bernie; her daughter Debbie Barker; her grandchildren, Mindy Barker and Jimmy Ewing; and her siblings, Alfred Francis Calvert, Mary Jean Lytle, Marvin Calvert, Clyde Calvert and Bobbie Calvert.

She is survived by : her children, Teresa Thomas, Sam Thomas and Sandra Thomas; and her sister Carol Ann Fowler. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
