She was predeceased by: her parents, Weldon Melton and Gloria "Butch" Melton (Tornio); her in-laws, Vernon, Alleyne Elliott, Bob and Jean Thomas; her son Mike Elliott; her brother Jeff Melton; and her son-in-law Ryan Mahoney.

She is survived by: her former spouse Chris Elliott; her child Kelly (Elliott); her husband John Thomas; her children, Tim Elliott (Gretchin Scott), Mandy Duncan (Thomas), Jared Thomas (Catherine) and Adam Thomas (Katy); her daughter-in-law Andi Giesen (Billy); her grandchildren, Alex (Elliott), Fender (Nick), Max, Dexter, Evangeline Elliott, Alice, Erin, Elliott Mahoney, James, Nathaniel, Jonathan Duncan, Justin Thomas (Ashley), Austin Thomas (Randi Hensley), Cauy Thomas (Myranda Berner), Zach Mast (Nicole), Kallie, Boston Thomas, Joel Dodgen (Cassie Reed), Caitlin (Dodgen), Borghoff (Caleb Coady), Chloe (Dodgen), Harnden (Quinn), Aspen (Williams), Davis (Nathen) and Auni Williams; her great grandchildren, Logan and Collins Fender; her grandchildren, Ren, Easton, Brock Thomas, Laila, Jason, Eli Dodgen and Truett Borghoff; her brothers, Bob Melton (June) and Mark Melton (Tonya); her sister-in-law Lisa Melton; Vernon and Alleyne Elliott.

Viewing was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the Prairie Rose Funeral Home (602 E Main St, Anthony, KS 67003). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
