It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Velma Thatcher of Anthony, Kansas, born in Attica, Kansas, who passed away on April 11, 2023, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Benjamin Harry and Edna May Romig (Giggy); her siblings, Harold, Howard Romig, Veda Rogers and Doris Hess; and her granddaughter Jacque Montelongo.

She is survived by : her sister Mary Jones; her stepdaughter Jerri Hoffine; and her granddaughter Jonna Hoffine. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
