He was predeceased by: his parents, Loris Samuel Hatfield and Violet May Hatfield; his wife DeLores Jean Hatfield; his close friend Ruby Lee Eastman; his stepdaughter Dedra Crawford; and his siblings, Nancy Burton, Joan Hatfield and Elvin Hatfield.

He is survived by: his stepdaughter Diana James of Neodesha, Kansas; and his son-in-law Scott Crawford of Ardmore. He is also survived by numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Parkerfield Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Local VFW in Arkansas City.
