He was predeceased by : his parents, Wilma Achenbach (Eustice) and Lawrence Achenbach (Dick). He is survived by : his wife Jerri; his children, Brenda Sales (Kevin), Lynn Coffey (James) of McPherson, Scott Achenbach (Susan) of Lindsborg, Terri King (Jeff), Karen Whitaker (Bradford) and Steven Wolfe (Kristi); his grandchildren, Gene Wilson (Lindsay), Jeff Wilson (Sara), Ben Coffey, Darrin Achenbach (Bethanie), Matt Achenbach (Alicia Garand), Rachel Nel (Reece), Alexandrea King, Kate Whitaker, Molly Whitaker, Jackson Whitaker, Dr. Kathryn Wolfe and Jon Wolfe; his great grandchildren, Kelsey Wilson, Hannah Wilson, Emma Wilson, Drew Wilson, Riley Gard, Kate Achenbach, Ava Achenbach and Lucy Achenbach; his brother Richard (June) of Denver, CO.; and his friends, Ralph Keefe, Don Shanks, Buddy Kendrick, Gary Humiston and Joe Shriver. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Central Christian Church or Cowley College Athletic Department. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
