She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Howard L. and Clara May Hooper, Sr. (Cook); her uncle Ed Koch; her husband Robert W. "Bob" Durkin, Sr; her children, Debra Clem (Rich) of Lancaster, KS, Stephen F. Durkin (Bobe) and Michael L. Durkin (Tammy); her daughter-in-law Sue Durkin of Atchison, KS.; her grandchildren, Kelli Durkin, Brett Clem (Rebecca), Stefanie Gardner (Steven), Jaime Swendson (Ryan), Stevie Durkin (Nikki), Sean Durkin (Kendra), Cara Speer (BJ), Heather Thummel (Brandon), Chris Durkin and Will Durkin; her son Robert W. "Bob" Durkin, Jr; and her siblings, Joyce Hooper and Howard Hooper II. She was also cherished by 17 great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Mt. Vernon Cemetery and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
