He was predeceased by : his parents, Christopher C. Elias, Sr. and Dorothy Roth Elias; his daughter Nancy Phillips; his grandson Ryan Phillips; and his sister Dorothy Pierrard.

He is survived by : his wife Janet Elias; his children, Dianna Schalles (Glen) of Manhattan, KS, Amy Thomsen (Bill) of Matthews, NC, Debbie Singleton (Randy), Mike Elias (Kelly) of Atchison, KS and David Elias (Tammie) of Atchison, KS; his son-in-law Randy Phillips of Everest, KS; and his sister Betty Gauthier. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested to St. Benedict Catholic School, Kansas Right to Life, the American Cancer Society or Unbound International Non-Profit for Children & the Aging, in care of the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home.
