She was predeceased by: her parents, Gertrude Knowles (Chew) and John Knowles; her husband Roy Arthur Ostertag of Joseph's Church; her brother Larry Knowles; and her grandson Shaun Ostertag.

She is survived by: her children, Craig Ostertag (Jeri Ann), Guy Ostertag (Vonda), Corey Ostertag (Alison) and Sharon Ostertag; and her brother Pat Knowles. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.

A rosary will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 5:30 PM to 6:00 PM at the Pruett Funeral Home (208 N 5th St, Atchison, KS 66002). Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home (208 N 5th St, Atchison, KS 66002). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Joseph Church (715 Spring Garden St, Atchison, KS 66002).
