She was predeceased by: her parents, Glen Chapin and Winifred Chapin (Linden); her husband Randal Mercer; her sister Sharon Chapin; and her grandchild Ash Mercer.
She is survived by: her sons, Jeremy (Jonnalyn Mercer) and Jason Mercer of Paola, KS; her siblings, Robert, Shirley Carter of Omaha, NE, Derrill Carter, Don Chapin of Shawnee, KS, Phil, Regina Chapin of Shreveport, LA and Barb Taylor of Leavenworth, KS; her grandchildren, Kyle Mercer, Savannah, Austin and Hunter; and her close friend Cindy Harden.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Becker - Dyer - Stanton Funeral Home (800 Kansas Ave, Atchison, KS 66002). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to Multiple Sclerosis Society and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
