He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin Mead and Rose Mead (Bartholomew). He is survived by: his wife Linda Mead; his children, Mike Mead (Missy), Scot Kirkendoll (Cheryl), Kimberly Wurzinger (Marc), Faith Hinton (Joey) and Hope Kelly (Al); his grandchildren, Colin, Kerry, Katie, Ava, Ella, Kiersten, Mikah, Tenley, Brittanie, Allison, Sean, Tyler, Tanner, Tayler and Taygen; and his great grandchildren, Layla, Harper, Kaci, Lucy, Xadrian, Wrenley, Nora, Hallie and Ezra.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Becker - Dyer - Stanton Funeral Home (800 Kansas Ave, Atchison, KS 66002). A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Leavenworth National Cemetery (150 Muncie Rd, Leavenworth, KS 66048).
