She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Lutz and Patricia Lutz (Regan); her husband Gerald Dean Birkinsha; her sons, Brian and Anthony Birkinsha; and her brother Bill Lutz.

She is survived by: her sons, Gerald D. Birkinsha of Atchison, KS and Nelson (Karen Birkinsha); and her siblings, John Lutz, Ed Lutz (Ok Sum), Don Lutz (Jane), Paul Lutz (Yan), Chris Lutz (Barb), Kay Hull (Bill), Judy Coody and Betty Cundiff. She is also survived by four grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested to the First Christian Church Food Pantry Atchison and may be sent in care of the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home.
