It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janice Marie Jewell of Atchison, Kansas, who passed away on November 22, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Richard and Edna Victoria Hammel (Hedberg); her husband Donald Charles Jewell; her sons, Jay and Chip Jewell; her siblings, Jack Eldon, Loren, Elroy Hammel and Doris Lietzan; her granddaughter Emilee Jewell; Brad Jewell.

She is survived by: her son Jeffrey Jewell of Atchison, KS; her stepson Lee Jewell (Margie) of Leavenworth, KS; and her siblings, Gary Hammel (Carol) of Wichita, KS and Vickie K. McCann of Trivoli, IL. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
