He was predeceased by : his parents, Walter Lorenz and Loretta Lorenz; his siblings, Vincent (May) and Barbara Dykstra (Bill); and his nephew Darrel Lorenz.

He is survived by : his wife Evelyn Ellerman; his sons, Michael (Kristy) of Kansas City and Mark (Jenny) of Wichita; his grandchildren, Micha Bazemore (Richard), Garrison Lorenz (Payton) and Kaleigh Gosch (Tyler); his great grandchildren, Faye, Walter and Collins; and his nephew Steve Lorenz (Rhonda).

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the Elks Building Fund or Scholarship Fund and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
