As Mary Claire departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Mary Claire may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Mary Claire leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Reichart and Marjorie Reichart (Arington); and her husband Donald Eugene Wohlgemuth. She is survived by: her sons, Kirk (Ruth Wohlgemuth) and Kent (Mary Beth Wohlgemuth); and her sister Patricia Milliken of Spring Valley, CA. She is also survived by six grandchildren sixteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 24th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Becker Chapel (402 3rd St, Effingham, KS 66023). A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 24th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Coal Creek Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Valley Falls, KS or the Effingham Library and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
