Mary Lou Scheopner Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Lou Scheopner of Atchison, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 10, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Mary Lou may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Erpelding and Cecelia Erpelding (Deveney); and her brothers, Henry Jr. and Larry. She is survived by: her children, Michael (Karen) of Topeka, Mark of Garden City and Regina Rygaard (Mark) of Hiawatha; and her sister Ann Funk of Nortonville, Kansas.. She is also survived by five grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to the St. Benedict Catholic School Endowment.
