He is survived by: his parents, Caitlin Wood and Nathan Wood; and his grandparents, Denise, Jim Rowland, Deanna and Steve Wood. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and a great grandmother.
A rosary was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the St. Benedict's Church (1000 N 2nd St, Atchison, KS 66002). Visitation was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 9:50 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A celebration of life was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A reception was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 12:15 PM to 1:30 PM at the St. Joseph's Church (801 Spring Garden St, Atchison, KS 66002).
In honor of Matthew's memory, the family encourages donations to Make-A-Wish Foundation or Children's Mercy Hospital in care of the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home.
