In loving memory of Rita Mae Thurn of Atchison, Kansas, who departed this world on June 17, 2025 at the age of 91. Rita Mae leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Benedict Enzbrenner and Emma Enzbrenner (Fuhrman); and her husband Donald Thurn. She is survived by: her children, Ben Thurn (Beth) and Kathy Pello (Herb); and her grandchildren, Brad Licavoli, Brian Thurn, Jennifer Thurn, AJ Pello, Mike Pello and Matt Pello. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A rosary will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 from 7:15 PM to 7:35 PM and at 7:30 PM. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 from 7:35 PM to 8:30 PM and at 8:30 PM at the Becker - Dyer - Stanton Funeral Home (800 Kansas Ave, Atchison, KS 66002).
Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Croix Hospice or St. Louis Cemetery and may be sent in care of Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home.
