He was predeceased by : his parents, Edwin John Otte and Helen Otte (Lovegren); and his siblings, John Edwin Otte, David Allen Otte and Lois Helen Matthias.

He is survived by : his sister Jan Otte of Atchison, KS. He is also survived by one niece, two nephews, a great niece and a great nephew.
