He is survived by: his former wives, Dorothy Joan Goehner, Loretta Goodpasture (Cookie) and Juanita Montoya; his wife Mary Ballinger; his daughters, Terri Tacey (Scott) of Atchison, KS, Raye Anne Cluke of Atchison, KS, Kathy Boldridge of Atchison, KS and Jodi Austin of Merriam, IN; and his siblings, Phyllis Fuhrman of Lancaster, KS, Joyce Elias (Joe) of Atchison, KS, JoAnne Baker (Ron) of Atchison, KS, Patty Brooks (Steve) of Atchison, KS and Larry Stevens (Gail) of Atchison, KS.. He is also survived by six grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
