He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Mahlandt and Sharon Mahlandt (Pherigo) of Douglass; his wife Jackie Barker of Atlanta; his daughter Paislee Mahlandt of Atlanta; his siblings, Mike (Amanda Mahlandt), Penny (Fred Sheetz), Zach (Jane Barker), Ashley (Stephanie O'Neil), Amelia Barker of Winfield, Matt (Connie Barker) and Jennifer Navrat of Andover; his siblings' children, Levi, Chetta Mahlandt, Dallas, Caleb Melton, Marissa, Elliott McNelly, Dylan, Audrie Rippey, Baylee Barker, Hunter O'Neil, Kyle Navrat, Krissy Navrat, Marley Barker, McKenna Barker, Brennin Davis, Kynlee, Sterling Mahlandt and Emmett McNelly; and his friends, Laynee and Rein Roberts.
A memorial service was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Three Wooden Crosses Church (5118 SW 100th St, Augusta, KS 67010).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made in David's name for the 3WC Rodeo Bible Camp. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
