It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cheryl Calvert of Attica, Kansas, born in Jefferson City, Missouri, who passed away on June 3, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edmond Snyder and Miriam Chatelain (Parks); her daughter Daphne Nicholas; her husband Clyde Calvert; and her siblings, Edwina Detweiler and Steven Snyder.
She is survived by: her daughter Deanna Leslie (Mike); her stepchildren, Jena Sawyer (Rich) and Jason Calvert; her siblings, Keith Snyder and Connie Wallace; her grandchildren, Mandy Smith (Chris), Zachary Leslie, Scott Nicholas (Rachel), Staci Cushenbery (Jerry), Roman Shurley, Rhiannon Sawyer, Mason Shurley, Brenna Shurley, Matthew Calvert (Maddi), Eric Sawyer and Jade Calvert; and her great grandchildren, Penelope Smith, Felix, Abby Gonser, Macie, Emma, Hazel, Hudson Calvert, Elija, Charlie Nicholas, Libby, Ellie and Jay Cushenbery. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Prairie Rose Funeral Home (613 W 14th St, Harper, KS 67058). A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Attica Cemetery (1103 NW 60 Rd, Attica, KS 67009).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Huntington's Disease Association and can be sent in care of the funeral home.
