He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Elton and Ethel Pauline Steele (Whitelaw); his wife Frances June Gurss; and his siblings, Lee, Dwight "Butch" and Mary Gwen Taylor.
He is survived by: his children, Donnie Steele and Diana Martinez of Mesa, Arizona; his siblings, Della Patterson of Eugene, DeeDee Braden of Augusta, Kansas and Ron Steele (LuAnn) of Harper, Kansas; his sister-in-law Sharon Gurss; and his nephew Jarred Gurss. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
