She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Clark and Nina Bell Harris (Tucker); her husband James W. "Bill" Tindell; her daughters, Deborah Ann Newman and Brenda Kay Newman; her sister Doris Braunbeck; and her granddaughter Kathryn Louise Paine.

She is survived by: her daughter Carla Sue Newman of Auburn; her stepchildren, Mike Tindell of Auburn, Candace Herman of Overland Park and Catherine Rinehart of Topeka; her siblings, Alice Schick of Florida and John Harris of Washington; and her daughter Sandra Myers of Topeka. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren.
