He is survived by: his father Rodney Turnquist; his stepmother Becky Shumaker; his grandparents, Kathleen and Donald Turnquist; and his siblings, Dustin Turnquist (Jami), Casey Turnquist (Sarah), Kyle Shumaker (Malaysia), Dawn Prideaux and Amber Lang (Joe).
