He was predeceased by : his parents, Monroe Burkett and Dorothy Burkett (Clutters); and his siblings, Lola Lee, Linda Walty, Thelma Burkett, Charles Burkett and Troy Burkett.
He is survived by : his children, Crystal Garrett of Andover, KS, Justin Burkett of Wichita, KS, Tyler Burkett of Kansas City, MO, Jennifer Nguyen (Jon) of Andover, KS, Leslie Cossey of Lansing, KS, Breanna Fenno (Jason) of Augusta, KS and Megan Burkett of Tompkinsville, KY; his siblings, Judy Carrow (Robert) of Topeka, KS, Patricia Perkins (Dennis) of Arkansas, Johnny Staten of Arkansas, Ronnie Staten of Arkansas and Elsie Anderson of Tompkinsville, KY; and his grandchildren, Courtney, McKinley, Abigail, Grace, Greyson, Dawson and Jaxson. He is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family wishes memorial contributions be made out to Dunsford Funeral Home for funeral expenses.
