We are sad to announce that on November 5, 2022, at the age of 96, Elsie Eleanor George of Augusta, Kansas, born in Alma, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her mother Anna Thowe (Banka); her husband Herman Ray George; her brothers, Harry, Leland and Wilmer Thowe; and her grandson Jason Poffinbarger.

She is survived by: her children, Karen Mauk (Bill) of Olathe, KS, Alan George of Texas and Aleda Poffinbarger (Jim) of El Dorado, KS; her sister Anita Herbert of Long Beach, CA; her grandchildren, Donnie Mauk (Jo), Monica Swartley (Mike), Nathan Poffinbarger and Joshua Poffinbarger; her great grandchildren, Dylan Mauk, Leah, Shea, Reece Swartley, Devan Poffinbarger (Mallory), Gage Poffinbarger, Xander, Jonah, Isabelle and Oliver Poffinbarger; and her great great grandchild Ayden Mauk.
