He was predeceased by : his parents, Frank Smith and Gladys Smith (Bacon); his wife Rochelle Kay Miller; his son Sean Lee Smith; and his brother Larry Smith.

He is survived by : his children, Dawn De Paula Gomes (Kraig) and Gary Smith (Erlinda); his grandchildren, Ciara Smith, Melissa Gomes, Vanessa Landrum, Jedidiah Smith, Irish Smith and Sean Austin Smith; his great grandchildren, Joshua, Lucca, Aleah, Sophia, Luana, Leila and Kamai; and his sister Kathy Meacham (Bob).

Memorial Contributions be made out to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Wounded Warrior Project, left in care of Dunsford Funeral Home.
