He was predeceased by: his parents, Ethel Watson (Rickerson) and James Watson; and his siblings, Jim, Bob, Joe, Phillip Watson, Karen Nance and Joyce Watson.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth (Taylor); his daughters, Michelle Watson of Augusta and Teresa Pickarts (Marcus) of Augusta; his sisters, Edna Cox of Kimberling City, MO, Ann Simon of Augusta, Sharon Simon (Kenny) of Douglass, Jeanie Copeland of Augusta and Gayle Nevitt of Emporia; his sister-in-law Diane Watson; his grandchildren, Sarena Schneider (Jon), Kyle Morris (Shelby), Laiken Cody (Tanner), Logan Linot, Lenexa Crouch (Bryce) and Gage Pickarts; and his great grandchildren, Raelyn Schneider, Bryson Cody, Brekklyn Cody and Walker Crouch.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Headley Funeral Chapel (813 State St, Augusta, KS 67010). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at the Elmwood Cemetery (501 12th Ave, Augusta, KS 67010).
