He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyda Jane Bassingthwaighte (Keel) and James Edward Bassingthwaighte. He is survived by: his children, Dirk Edward Bassingthwaighte (Melanie Pratt) and Tara Jean Lockamy (Bassingthwaighte); his wife Tricia Bassingthwaighte; his granddaughter Audryana Christine Bassingthwaighte; and his brother Edward Bassingthwaighte Jr. (Carolyn (Willet) Bassingthwaighte).
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 4th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the First Christian Church (1600 State St, Augusta, KS 67010).
