He was predeceased by: his mother Maudie Ilera Bradshaw Jones. He is survived by: his father Fred Marion Jones; his wife LaVonne Burkholder; and his sons, Ronald (Twila), Mark (Denise), Timothy (Missy), Jeffrey and John Paul (Jessica). He is also survived by twelve grandchildren.
