The memory of Velton Oglesby of Augusta, Kansas, who passed away on August 28, 2025 at the age of 84, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edna Marie (Watts) and Travis Loid Oglesby; and his nephew Peter Christoff. He is survived by: his daughters, Lisa Daniels of Augusta and Toni Porter (Paul) of Wichita; his sister Linda Christoff (Alex "Buzz") of Beaufort, SC; his grandson Adam Daniels (Jaci); and his great grandchildren, Yeager Daniels, Sebastian, Samantha and Rand Daniels. He is also survived by his daughters and grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to Augusta Public Library, 1609 State St., Augusta, KS 67010 to create a collection of fishing equipment to be available to the community in his memory.
