With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Virginia Lee Matson of Augusta, Kansas, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Virginia left this world on October 28, 2025 at the age of 100, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ido Franklin and Gladys Mae Bright (Lewis); her husband Jean L. Matson; her son Ivan Matson; and her siblings, Charles, E. J., Frank, Verlin Bright and Beverly Cannon.
She is survived by: her daughter Brenda Church (Kenny) of Andover, KS. She is also survived by one grandson; one great granddaughter; numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Headley Funeral Chapel (813 State St, Augusta, KS 67010). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 31st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Lakeview Cemetery (12100 E 13th St N, Wichita, KS 67206).
