Patsy Ellen Abernathy Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Patsy Ellen Abernathy of Baxter Springs, Kansas, who passed away on September 30, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hubert Powell and Flora Lee Powell (Collins); her brother Collins Powell; and her son Jack Darren Abernathy. She is survived by: her husband Jack Abernathy; her children, Casey Abernathy of Quapaw, OK, Todd Abernathy of Quapaw, OK and Tina Wilson (Tim) of Miami, OK.; her siblings, Betty Feeley of Sand Springs, OK and Jerry Powell of Hartford, CT; and her grandchildren, Kayla Landry (Josh), Nick Abernathy, Matt Abernathy (Brittany), Hollie Abernathy, Kyle Wilson (Chelsea), Devin Wilson and Jacie Wilson. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Derfelt Funeral Home - Baxter Springs (328 E 12th St, Baxter Springs, KS 66713).
