Marie D. Griffee Obituary
It is with sadness that the passing of Marie D. Griffee of Beattie, Kansas is shared. Marie, born on June 5, 1934, passed away on October 8, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Brockman and Catherine Brockman (Latus); her siblings, Carol Munger, Francis, Leo, Henry, Lorenz and Fred Brockman; and her son-in-law Stan Reed.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Cope (Galen) of Meriden, Margaret "Mert" Reed of Waterville, Marlene Tryon (Chuck) of Waterville, Marjorie Grable (James) of Beattie, Mark Griffee (Jessica) of Aransas Pass and Mike Griffee (Deb) of Beattie; and her sisters, Betty Wolfgang and Theresa Burrington. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kinsley Mortuary (1006 Broadway St, Marysville, KS 66508). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Beattie Union Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established, with contributions designated to Frankfort Community Care Home or Meadowlark Hospice.
