He was predeceased by : his parents, Leonard Fowler and Frances Elizabeth Fowler; his son Michael Fowler; and his siblings, Charles Fowler and Betty Schettler.

He is survived by : his wife Shirley A. Fowler; his children, Steve Fowler (Sandra), Mark Fowler (Donna), Cindy Vrana (Chuck) and Teresa M. McNeil (Brian); and his grandchildren, Haley Ketchum (Michael), Mallory Fowler, Holly Leeper (Corey), Austin Taylor, Paul Fowler (Sammy), Matt Fowler (Courtney), Audra Berning (Max), Grace Davidson (Josh) and Molly House (Daniel). He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with: Church of the Resurrection Catholic Church, 4910 N. Woodlawn, Bel Aire, KS 67220.
