He was predeceased by : his parents, Emmett Lawless and Lorena Anthony Lawless; and his siblings, Vona Jean Bates, Ethelyn Quiqley, Theda May Wylie, Ernest Shipman, Johnie Lawless and Gary Lawless.

He is survived by : his wife Minnie Lawless; his children, Teresa Lawless Aurell, David Lawless (Joi) and Mark Lawless (Karla); and his siblings, LaVerne D Lawless, Donald E Lawless and Shiley A Shetlar. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Belle Plaine Global Methodist Church (124 E 10th Ave, Belle Plaine, KS 67013).

A memorial has been established at the Belle Plaine Church of Christ, 932 North Foulk Drive, Belle Plaine, Kansas 67013.
