With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gerald A. Sothers (Belleville, Kansas), who passed away on September 14, 2025 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elder Sothers and Juvernia Sothers (Garman); his former wife Pauline; his wife Idamay Johnson (Lindberg); his daughter Sherry Hager; his stepson Doran Johnson; his stepson-in-law John Reynolds; his brothers, Ralph Sothers, Elmer Dean Sothers (Anita) and Ronald Sothers (Maudie); and his siblings-in-law, Marilyn Sothers and John Nylund.
He is survived by: his children, Rodney Sothers (Diane) and Jann Gieber (Mark); his stepdaughters, Deanna Reynolds and Muriel Bonsall (Sandie); his grandchildren, Kyle Sothers, Kelsey Mugler (Garett), Krystin Will (Jeremy), Caleb Gieber (Ariel), Seth Gieber (Shannon) and Ryan Sothers (Shari); his great grandchildren, Taytum Mugler, Braylee Mugler, Gavin Mugler, Colson Will, Connor Will, Brooklyn Gieber, Sawyer Gieber, Quinn Sothers, Jerrod Sothers and Parker Gieber; his siblings, Judy Nylund and Maurice Sothers; and his sister-in-law Beverly Sothers.
