He was predeceased by: his parents, Archibald M. Thompson and Bernice R. Thompson (Jones); his siblings, Tommy Thompson and Betty Annis (Russell); and his brother-in-law William Gants.
He is survived by: his wife Grace Ann Thompson of Concordia, KS; his children, Julie Kesler (Rick) of Aurora, KS, Lisa Holloway (David) of Narka, KS and Brian Thompson (Tammy) of Agenda, KS; his sister Bernice Ritch of Plain, WA.; his grandchildren, Krystal Richard (Casey), Kade Kolman (Sarah), Kara Morehead (Rusty), Sarah Lehman (Nick), Tyler Kolman (Britta), Wesley Thompson, Taylor Davis (Landon) and Tanner Thompson; and his great grandchildren, Boone, Case Richard, Broden, Kaydre, Sawyer Kolman, Gus, Clancy, Lilibeth Morehead, McKennon, Briscoe, Pistol, Granger Lehman, Damon, Kelan Haberstroh, Ainsley and Memphis Kolman. He is also survived by his grandkids and great grandkids.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home (1322 19th St, Belleville, KS 66935). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at 10:30 AM at the United Methodist Church (204 4th St, Agenda, KS 66930). A burial was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at the Agenda Cemetery (251 Agenda Ln, Agenda, KS 66930).
