He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Coons and Nellie Coons (Packer); and his siblings, Robert Coons, Marjorie Witt and Helen Horner.
He is survived by: his wife Jane Coons (Milstead) of Cuba, KS; his children, Vicki Coons of Belleville, KS and Max Coons (Jennifer) of Granite Canon, WY; his stepchildren, Danny Trecek, Lori Lovewell (Bill) of Hays, KS and Russell Trecek (Carla) of Manhattan, KS; his grandchildren, Brian, Stacy, Avery, Macee, Hunter and Caitlynn; and his sister Evelyn Larkins of Belleville, KS. He is also survived by Nieces and nephews; other relatives; and friends.
