He was predeceased by : his parents, Alma Chapman (Jones) and Amos Chapman; his wife Betty; his granddaughters, Melissa and Miranda Bouley; and his son-in-law Richard Wallace.

He is survived by : his daughters, Deb Scofield (Brian) of Mission, Cathy Wallace of McAllen and Sue Bouley (Gary) of Clifton, Kansas; his sister Shirley Boucek of Beloit; his nephew Troy Boucek of Beloit; his grandchildren, Brittney Bouley of McAllen and Brady Bouley of Sabetha, Kansas.; and his caregiver Marsha Verhage of Beloit.
