He was predeceased by : his father Charles "Frank" James; and his grandparents, Harry, Jo Anita James, Bud and Roberta Stickney.

He is survived by : his mother Connie Ruth James (Stickney); his children, Arica James and Ian James; and his brothers, Michael James and Jason James.

Flowers are welcome, but the family encourages loved ones to plant a tree in honor of Rob through the Arbor Day Foundation, or donate to one of the following causes in his honor: St. Jude Children's Hospital or National Park Foundation.
