He was predeceased by: his parents, William Anderson and Clara Nancy Plowman Stapleton Sr.; his brother Larry Dean Stapleton; his parents-in-law, Mike and Elizabeth Weber; and his grandsons, Eric Effenbeck and Ty Stapleton.
He is survived by: his children, Mike Stapleton (Patty), Sandra Kurth (Bryant), Adena Stapleton, Mary Duft (Lance), Ted Stapleton (Crystal) and Jamie Stapleton; and his brother Jerry Stapleton (Terie). He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.
