He was predeceased by : his parents, Rex Birdell Newcom and Naomi E. Newcom (Pierson); and his son Christopher Newcom. He is survived by : his wife Kathy Newcom of Leon; his son Nick Newcom (Holley) of Wichita'; his grandchildren, Brailey, Lauren, Jax Newcom, Parker and Hayes Dexter; and his siblings, Bob Newcom, Geneva Ambrose and Brent Newcom of Newton.

A memorial service was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Palmyra Baptist Church (999 NW Butler Rd, Benton, KS 67017).

Memorial contributions in Jack's name may be directed to the Leon Senior Center.
