He was predeceased by: his parents, Naomi Heisler, and George Heisler, Sr.; his son Donald Joseph; his sister Melissa; and his brothers-in-law, Donald Gregory, Marty Gregory and Henry Bounds.
He is survived by: his wife Christine Bartlett; his children, Jeannine Loynes (Kenny) and Edward Sullivan (Michelle); his grandchildren, Wanda Lemieux, Jason Lemieux, Kevin Lemieux, Natasha Mott, Taylor McCosh, Lindsay McClure and Tanner Sullivan; his brother Bob (Elaine); and his siblings-in-law, John Bartlett (Ann) and Sheila Bounds. He is also survived by 15 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
