Hazel Sandell Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Hazel Sandell (Bluff City, Kansas), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 18, 2026 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Hazel may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Hazel touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Conrad Kollmorgen and Opal Kollmorgen (Sevier); her husband John O. Sandell; and her siblings, Kenneth Kollmorgen, Judy Knight, Helen Lockwood and Arthur Kaup.
She is survived by: her children, Donnie Sandell (Christie), Vernette Becker and Johnette Martin; and her siblings, Sharit McGinnis (Bill) and Leonard Lockwood (Linda). She is also survived by grandchildren: 9, great-grandchildren: 19, and great-great grandchildren.
