He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Elijah Bruton, Sr. and Lelia Bruton (Tigrett); his wife Bonita; his children, Lige and Cass; and his siblings, Mary Hovis (Bruton), Marguerite McAlister (Bruton), Helen Porter (Bruton) and George Bruton.
He is survived by: his son Ty Bruton (Lynn) of Norton; his grandchildren, Gabe of Minatare, Zach Bruton (Angie) of Bogue and Keali Casper of Norton; and his great grandchildren, Lila, Kati, Kimi Casper of Russell, Elijah, Liam and Sammy Bruton of Bogue. He is also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews.
