With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara Houtman (Bonner Springs, Kansas), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 3, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Barbara has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman E. Brauer and Pearl E. Brauer (Dearinger); and her husband Alvin Houtman. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
The family request that in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Trinity Family Learning Center Daycare or Alzheimer's Disease Research.
