She was predeceased by: her parents, Sam Soyland and Agnes Soyland (Tollefson); her husband John Vaughan, Jr.; her siblings, Kathryn Bennaka and Lester Soyland; her stepdaughter Diana Vaughan; her grandson Gregory Johnson; and her son-in-law Tom Ward.
She is survived by: her children, Tom Charles (Dee Dee) of Basehor, KS., Theresa Ward of Leavenworth, KS. and Jo Ellen Johnson (David) of Edwardsville, KS.; her stepsons, John E. Vaughan, III (Janice) of Kansas City, KS. and David G. Vaughan (Zanelle) of Kansas City, KS.; and her sister Donna Lanter (Richard) of Horton, KS.. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family.
